Happy 2022 everyone. Did you miss The High Note? In case you are only a fan of New Music Friday (and who isn’t, am I right?) you can catch up on my favorite albums of 2021 and my latest review of the Buffalo Nichols solo debut.
But just like Ram Dass said, “Be Here Now,” so here are the album’s newest albums released for the first New Music Friday of 2022. It may be a shortlist, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less great.
Alternative rock band Twin Atlantic is doing the best with what it has after its drummer dropped out during the pandemic to create its latest album “Transparency.”
One of my favorite rhythm and blues artists The Weeknd, is out with his highly anticipated album “Dawn FM,” which is sure to be another deep and psychedelic concept album.
