New Music Friday - The High Note with Shaun Smith

New Music Friday is the perfect end to another week, and Jan. 26, 2024, just so happens to be the last one for January, so that’s like a two-for-one bonus.

Alkaline Trio returns with its distinctive emo flair in “Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs.”

Benny the Butcher is my hip-hop pick with “Everybody Can’t Go.”

Future Islands’ “People Who Aren’t There Anymore” transcends even its own dream-pop sound.

For the singer-songwriter fans, Torres is back with “What an Enormous Room,” as is our favorite rocker, Ty Segall with “Three Bells.”

As always the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, January 26, 2024 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog
