Happy Halloween eve and happy New Music Friday! This October 30th brings us a fantastic mix of releases to soundtrack your weekend, from honky tonk heartbreak to experimental soundscapes and genre-defying grooves. Let’s dive into what’s dropping today.
Kaitlin Butts delivers authentic country storytelling on “Hello, Honky Tonk,” proving that traditional sounds still have plenty to say. Sampa The Great pushes boundaries with “Nu Zamrock,” fusing Zambian rock traditions with contemporary hip-hop innovation. Kali Malone’s “Burning Song” offers haunting minimalist compositions that demand deep listening. Moses Boyd explores spiritual jazz territory on “Songs For Sinners,” blending UK influences with timeless grooves. P*** continues their enigmatic journey with “you made me / skin on linen,” a deeply personal meditation on identity and transformation.
As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, Oct. 30, 2026 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.
