New Music Friday on The High Note

This week’s New Music Friday for Oct. 8 is scattered across genres like fall leaves on the lawn.

At the top of my list is one of my favorite hip-hop producers, The Alchemist, with the follow-up to “This Thing of Ours.” I also love the hip-hop group Atmosphere who is out with a new release, “Word.”

In the rock genre, I have to add to my weekly playlist both albums from  Porches and singer-songwriter Sam Fender.

Lastly, for all the country music fans, I recommend the prescription from Old Dominion – “Time, Tequila, and Therapy.”

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 is below in no particular order with my most anticipated albums in bold.

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media – @highnoteblog.
