It’s Veterans Day and The High Note is celebrating by thanking our veterans as well as all of the new albums released today for New Music Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. There is a lot so let’s dive right in.
I typically am not a fan of re-releases but two are on my list this week – Bright Eyes is out with companions to three albums, most notably “I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning: A Companion.”
One of my favorite hiphop groups, Run The Jewels, is out with a Latino-inspired remix of its latest album “RTJ4” – “RTJ Cu4tro.”
The boss is out with his much-anticipated album of soulful crooner covers “Only the Strong Survive” and his New Jersey brethren Monstern Magnet is out with “Test Patterns: Vol. 1” which includes two of its oldest tracks.
Roots rock band Larkin Poe is out with the band’s sixth studio album “Blood Harmony” and pianist and composer Duval Timothy is out with his latest album “Meeting With A Judas Tree.”
