New Music Friday on The High Note

It’s the first New Music Friday of July and The High Note has all the fresh tunes to keep your weekend plans jamming through Monday.

It’s a short one this week, maybe because of the Fourth of July holiday, but The High Note is all about quality, which is exactly what the artists who released albums today, Friday, July 2, brought to the party.

He’s done a lot in a short amount of time, so G Gerbo named his latest album “25” after the number of rotations around the sun he has completed.

With a name like The Go! Team, you know it’s going to be a party and the band brightens the mood for its album “Get Up Sequences Part One.”

I’m also stoked about the chilled-out sounds of both singer-songwriter Laura Mvula whose incredible album “Pink Noise” was released today as well as the acoustic sounds of “Earth Tones” from Izzy Johnson.

Lastly, don’t sleep on the latest from emo hip-hop crossover artist boyband – “Never Knows Best.”

As always, the full list of albums released today, Friday, July 2, 2021 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold. Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments and on social media @highnoteblog.
