Happy New Music Friday! October is in full swing, and this week brings an absolutely stacked lineup of new releases. Whether you’re into pop, rock, experimental sounds, or live recordings, there’s something here to soundtrack your weekend.
Cameron Winter’s “Live at Carnegie Hall” captures the rising artist’s electrifying performance at one of music’s most iconic venues. Danielle Ponder delivers soul-stirring vocals and deeply personal storytelling on “Everything Has Changed,” an album that showcases her remarkable journey from public defender to full-time musician. Jess Williamson’s “A Mile South of Heaven” offers gorgeous, atmospheric country-folk that feels both intimate and expansive. Remi Wolf brings her signature kaleidoscopic pop energy to “Mud,” blending funk, soul, and pure chaotic joy into one of the year’s most vibrant releases. Troye Sivan’s “She’s the Best” marks another evolution in his pop artistry, delivering shimmering production and vulnerable lyricism that cuts straight to the heart.
As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, Oct. 9, 2026 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.
