New Music Friday on The High Note

I can’t believe it’s the last New Music Friday for the month of February and despite the groundhog’s prediction of six more weeks of winter, the musical calendar is heating up with new albums released Friday, Feb. 24, 2023.

Hardcore punk band Algiers is out with its fourth album “Shook” and experimental pop musician Meghan Remy who goes by U.S. Girls is out with her eighth new album “Bless This Mess.”

Two of my longtime favorites, Gorillaz and Logic are both out with new albums – Gorillaz get Thundercat, Stevie Nicks, Tame Impala, Bad Bunny and Beck on “Cracker Island” and retired rapper Logic gets help from Redman, Seth MacFarlane, Statik Selektah, Joey Bada$$, Norah Jones plus a video for “Highlife” directed by Kevin Smith.

As always, the full list of new albums released today, Friday, February, 24, 2023 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.
