What a way to end the week! There is nothing better than a fresh list of new tunes to fuel the weekend and The High Note provides with New Music Friday.
While much of the music world is looking at bands with more exposure like Coldplay, Young Thug and Zak Brown Band. However, this blog is about discovering new artists so let me introduce you to a few with new albums released Friday, Oct. 15, 2021.
Finneas may be a name you already know but he is nowhere near a household name like his sister, Billie Eilish. The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter is out with his debut full-length album “Optimist.”
Known for its incredible punk shows throughout the United Kingdom, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes is out with the band’s fourth album “Sticky.”
Fans of The High Note know I’m a huge fan of singer-songwriters so at the top of my list this week is “Simple, Sweet, and Smiling,” from Arizona dream pop artist Kacy Hill, “To Hell with It,” from bedroom-pop artist PinkPantheress and “In the Blossom of Their Shade” from the folk singer Pokey LaFarge.
Of course, not everyone is as adventurous as me, so for them, I recommend new albums by Tom Morello and a cover album by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit.
