New Music Friday on The High Note

It’s the first New Music Friday of November and as the leaves continue their autumn dance, The High Note is here with your playlist for all the albums released Friday, Nov. 3, 2023

It’s Christmas album season, so let’s start off with a little slow. Jazz pianist Gregory Porter is out “Christmas Wish,” and Seth MacFarlane and Liz Gillies wrap us in a red-velvety duet with “We Wish You the Merriest.”

One of my favorite producers, The Alchemist, is back with another hip-hop-infused odyssey with “Flying High, Part Two” and former member of Brockhampton Kevin Abstract is out with “Blanket.”

Jimmy Buffett’s first posthumous album brings a wave of coastal vibes in “Equal Strain on All Parts.”

And for those who are into nostalgia,  Semisonicis back with “Little Bit of Sun.”

The Struts live up to their name, delivering an unapologetically vibrant record, “Pretty Vicious.”

My new favorite Phillies fan section “Marsh’s Marshmello’s” mascot is out with “Sugar Papi.”

Lastly, I typically don’t cover singles but The Beatles grace our ears with their last song “Now and Then,” closing the chapter on the band’s rich legacy.

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, November 2, 2023 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog
