New Music Friday on The High Note

March is roaring in with a tidal wave of new albums released to begin the month for New Music Friday, March 4, 2022.

In case you needed some affirmation, Band of Horses is here to remind us that “Things Are Great” with the band’s most recent album. Indie rockers Guided by Voices are back with “Crystal Nuns Cathedral” and Welsh rockers Stereophonics are out with “Oochya!”

Hip-hop legend RZA is joined by DJ Scratch for “Saturday Afternoon Kung Fu Theater” and I love the pun in the title from the latest by Smoke DZA – “Driplomatic Immunity.”

Fans of classic country will be stoked to see a new album by Dolly Parton – “Run, Rose, Run” and I am personally excited about the latest from Canadian singer-songwriter The Weather Station “How Is It That I Should Look at the Stars.”

As always, let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog. The entire list of albums released today, Friday, March 4, 2022 is below in no particular order – my most anticipated albums are in bold.
