Things are starting to open up in the music world as concerts are being announced and there some live shows happening in Atlantic City, Las Vegas and other parts of the world.
However, you don’t need to go anywhere to enjoy New Music Friday, just wherever you are reading this blog is fine. Get comfortable because there is a lot of new music out today for Friday, March 26, 2021.
I love the Hammond organ and Dr. Lonnie Smith is one of the masters and he has a new album out “Breathe,” which is a good reminder for everyone right now.
I’m a big fan of nearly every tUnE-yArDs project as well as Real Estate so having both is a treat. I also like First Aid Kit and AJR so both are high on my listening list.
Lastly, I have to give some local love to the Philly-base duo The Writhing Squares who has a new album and Underscores who used a photo of the Longport water tower as its album cover, which nearly blew my fucking mind when I saw that this morning.
