New Music Friday on The High Note

The summer season is nearly here and there’s a big wave of new albums released today, Friday, June 2, 2023 on the horizon. So get ready to surf the wave into the horizon.

Jelly Roll takes us to the “Whitsitt Chapel” offering a unique blend of country rap that resonates with raw emotion and compelling storytelling. Ben Harper returns with “Wide Open Light,” a testament to his unmistakable blend of blues, folk, soul, reggae, and rock.

As for jazz and rap, McKinley Dixon is set to mesmerize with “Beloved! Paradise! Jazz?!”, showcasing his thought-provoking lyricism and multi-genre sonic pallet.

Bob Dylan, the legendary troubadour, graces us with “Shadow Kingdom”, providing yet another opportunity to dive into his timeless, profound narratives.

Foo Fighters are back at it again with new drummer Josh Freese and a new album  “But Here We Are ” and the multi-talented Rufus Wainwright is out with his latest release, “Folkocracy.”

I’m also stoked about new album from The Aces, Ben Folds, Bully, and more.

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, June 2, 2023 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.
