New Music Friday on The High Note

The summer season is sizzling with fresh new albums flipping like burgers on a Fourth of July grill and The High Note is here to quench your New Music Friday thirst with all the new releases for today, Friday, July 8, 2022.

Leading the charge are a couple of old dogs who are still in the game – Neil Young with his latest, “Toast,” an unreleased album from 2001, and Journey with “Freedom” featuring lead singer Arnel Pineda as well as bassist Randy Jackson.

Hip-hop producer Apollo Brown is out with his latest “This Must Be The Place,” New York City rockers Wet are out with “Pink Moon” and one of my favorite singer-songwriters, Laura Veirs, is out with her latest “Found Light.”

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, July 8, 2022 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.
