The High Note

Baseball has begun, drive-in concerts are popping up in Philadelphia and one of the world’s biggest pop star dropped an alternative folk album – it’s just your normal pandemic Friday.

There is nothing like a surprise album. Gotta love ’em, am I right. So thanks, Taylor Swift, for dropping “Folklore” on us today. Recorded in quarantine and featuring Aaron Dessner from The National and Mr. Bon Iver himself, Justin Vernon, it has all the elements for another career-defining album for the singer-songwriter.

There are also new albums by Neon Trees and Logic and Earl Sweatshirt decided to release an expanded deluxe edition of “Feet of Clay.”

Below, in no particular order, are my picks for new albums released Friday, July 24, 2020 – my most anticipated albums are in bold.
