New Music Friday on The High Note

As the weather gets warmer the music gets a little louder in The High Note studio and New Music Friday is no exception as we celebrate all the fresh releases for Friday, April 8, 2022.

At the top of my list is the return of producer Girl Talk who has drafted a team of all-stars in Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., and Smoke DZA for “Full Court Press.”

For the folk rock fans, check out the latest from Father John Misty and Deer Scout. Country music fans will want to unmask the latest from Orvelle Peck – “Bronco” and rock fans have Jack White, Son Lux, Wet Leg, Syd, Johnnyswim and The Linda Lindas to keep them company.

Lastly, rap fans will want to check out  “Ramona Park Broke My Heart” from Vince Staples.

As always the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, April 8, 2022 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog.
