New Music Friday on The High Note

There may be six more weeks of winter according to Punxsutawney Phil but you can always count on a list of the new albums released every week on the New Music Friday blog on The High Note.

First up on my list is psychedelic rock band Animal Collective with its latest album “Time Skiffs.” If you like rock, “Great American Painting” by The Districts is a solid choice.

In the indie-pop world, I’m stoked about “LP3” from Hippo Campus and “Give Me The Future.”

Lastly, for the fans of singer-songwriters, check out “Laurel Hell” from Mitski and “Lighten Up” by Erin Rae.

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, February 4, 2022 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog.
