New Music Friday on The High Note

It may be Memorial Day weekend but The High Note isn’t taking off for New Music Friday, so here are all the fresh tunes released May 27, 2022 to keep things hopping during your holiday.

For the rock fans, classic rockers Def Leppard are out with a new one as are the steadfast Wilco. I’m stoked about “Heart Under” from Irish rock band Just Mustard and English singer-songwriter Alfie Templeman’s debut “Mellow Moon.”

Lastly, I have written of my love of the Jazz is Dead series and Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge have teamed up with Jean Carne for “JID012 Jean Carne.”

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, May 27, 2022 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold. Let me know what you’re listening to on social media @highnoteblog and in the comments below.
