The High Note

It’s a double dose of nostalgia for this edition of New Music Friday at The High Note since it’s both back-to-school week here in New Jersey, and the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 today.

It’s amazing to think about where I was back then – in high school, and what I was listening to – primarily punk rock. I had just been to Warped Tour that previous summer and if I had to take a guess, I would say NOFX was probably my favorite band. Was that really 19 years ago?

Fast forward to today and I’m stoked about new albums by The Flaming Lips, Marilyn Manson, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Conway The Machine, Matt Costa, Jockstrap and The Heliocentrics.

As always, my full list of albums is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.
