It’s Black Friday and it’s also New Music Friday. Despite a heavy turkey hangover, The High Note is here with all the new albums released today, Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.
For fans of Thanksgiving, you probably like leftovers and the music world also has its fair share this Thanksgiving season with “Divine Symmetry” by David Bowie, The Doors “Paris Blue” and Elvis Costello and The Imposters – “The Boy Named If (Alive at Memphis Magnetic).”
The Bowie album is an accompaniment to “Hunky Dory,” The Doors album is the last-known unissued studio recording from the band and Elvis Costello’s is a companion to “The Boy Named If” released earlier this year.
One of my favorite British rappers Stormzy released his third album “This Is What I Mean” today and soul jazz band Hieroglyphic Being is out with “There Is No Acid in This House.”
Also, today is Record Store Day Black Friday so maybe check out your local shop to see what special releases they may have.
As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, November 25, 2022 is below today in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.
Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog.
