The music world must have been waiting for The High Note to get back from its short break because this week is absolutely jam-packed with incredible new albums, it’s going to be hard to get through them all in the intro.
First, a belated thank you to all the veterans out there as yesterday was Veterans Day in America before we get down to the new albums released today, Friday, Nov. 12, 2021.
At the top of the list, I’ve always been a big fan of rapper and producer Aesop Rock who joins with Blockhead for “Garbology.” Keeping with the hip-hop theme, Snoop Dogg is out with “Algorithm.”
I love the rhythm and blues vibes from Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak who are Silk Sonic and present their debut “An Evening With Silk Sonic.”
For the rockers, don’t miss “Things Take Time, Take Time” from Courtney Barnett, “Nowhere Sessions” from Rise Against, and “Crawler” from Idles.
Lastly, my favorite dream pop band Beach House is back with “Once Twice Melody: Chapter 1.”
