New Music Friday - The High Note with Shaun Smith

Welcome to this week’s New Music Friday for June 21, 2024, ushering in the first official day of summer with a fresh wave of releases that will set the tone for the sunny days ahead.

Daryl Hall’s latest solo effort is simply titled “D,” and the former member of Hall and Oates is headlining the Philadelphia Folk Festival this August.

My favorite tropical house artist, Kygo, returns with his self-titled album.

Lake Street Dive brings their harmonious blend of soul, jazz, and pop on “Good Together.”

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, June 21, 2024 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog.
