New Music Friday - The High Note with Shaun Smith

Things are heating up for New Music Friday for July 12, 2024 with a lot of heavy hitters coming out of the Fourth of July holiday weekend to make a big splash this week.

Buffalo, New York’s Ani DiFranco delivers “Unprecedented Sh!t.”

One of my favorite hip-hop artists, Common, teams up with Pete Rock for “The Auditorium Vol. 1.”

Hip-hop legend Eminem puts the legend to rest with “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).”

One of the songs I used to play at bars in college was “To Be With You,” by Mr. Big so I’m stoked that the band is making comeback with “Ten.”

One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live, Phish, is out with its latest, “Evolve.”

The lyrical surgeon himself, Action Bronson, is out with “Johann Sebastian Bachlava The Doctor.”

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, July 12, 2024, is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold.

Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media @highnoteblog
