Things are finally starting to heat up with New Music Friday now that it’s the third week of January with a hefty list of new albums released today – Friday, Jan. 20, 2023.
For the rock fans, Chicago-based Fran is out with the band’s second studio album “Leaving,” Guided by Voices is out with “La La Land,” We Are Scientists is out with “Lobes” and Mac DeMarco is out with “Five Easy Hot Dogs.”
Fans of the Velvet Underground will recognize the name John Cale who is out with “Mercy.”
For the rap fans, Trippie Redd is out with “Mansion Musik,” Boldy James and RichGains are out with “Indiana Jones” and Oddisee is out with “To What End.”
Lastly, despite a cancer diagnosis, Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto has released “12.”
