It’s August, which means for me it’s Philly Folk Fest month. This year it’s going online but I’ll be participating and covering it digitally but New Music Friday continues!
New album from Deep Purple this week! In case you didn’t know, the 70s rock band from England wrote and released “Smoke on the Water,” and has continued to release music ever since. Another band that I haven’t heard much from since my punk rock days is Death by Stereo with a new album out today.
The two albums on this list I’m most stoked about are by Glass Animals and Washed Out. Feel free to let me know in the comments or on social media what new music you’re listening to this week.
Below, in no particular order, is The High Note list of new albums released today, Friday, Aug. 7, 2020. My most anticipated are in bold.
