New Music Friday on The High Note

It’s almost May and in addition to flowers, bars, restaurants and music venues are increasing capacities across the United States – giving hope to seeing live music again in the future.

I’m always stoked to hear about a new project from The Alchemist and at the top of the list this week is “This Thing of Ours.”

I’m also happy to see another project from Bonnie “Prince” Billy this time with Matt Sweeney – “Superwolves.” And, the boys from Boston are back with another album, “Turn Up The Dial” from Dropkick Murphys.

Lastly, Don’t miss the new albums by Guided By Voices, Marianne Faithfull and Warren Ellis, Carsie Blanton and the latest Sufjan Stevens installment for his epic project.

As always, the entire list of new albums released today, Friday, April 30, 2021 is below in no particular order.  Let me know what you’re listening to in the comments below and on social media.
