More than 50 years of musical tradition will continue at the Old Pool Farm for the Philadelphia Folk Festival Aug. 15-17 in Upper Salford Township.

The lineup for the 53rd annual Folk Festival includes Old Crow Medicine Show, Steep Canyon Rangers, Janis Ian and Loudon Wainwright III. These performers are mixed in throughout an intoxicating three days of crafts, workshops and a variety of musical performances.

The Folk Fest is a musical pilgrimage for some, a reunion for old friends and a memorable experience for many newcomers young and old. From the Lower Frederick Fire Company $5 all-you-can-eat Pancake Break “Fest” to the Thursday campground concert, there is plenty to see and do throughout the three days.

The welcoming experience that awaits each year at the Old Pool Farm is spread out among five stages, invites the nation’s best crafters displaying and creating art, includes a kids crafting and entertainment area and has a weekend full of workshops.
