New Music Friday on The High Note

There are so many things to celebrate today, I hardly know where to start. It’s finally starting to feel like spring with the wind in southern New Jersey as well as the flowers starting to emerge and crowds starting to grow on the boardwalk.

Of course, it is Good Friday and it is always a good Friday when there is some fresh new music to share with you good folks and it is also the first New Music Friday of April.

Singer Demi Lovato has been getting a lot of press with her honesty about the past problems with addiction and that is the focus of her latest album “Dancing with the Devil… the Art of Starting Over.”

I’m always stoked to see anything from singer-songwriter Jenn Wasner and she has a new album with her solo project “Head of Roses.”

Another Joel Embid-style effortless slam dunk is any Jazz is Dead album, the project by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad and this one is with the great saxophonist Gary Bartz who performed with Miles Davis.

As always, the complete list of new albums released today, Friday, April 2, 2021 is below in no particular order. My most anticipated albums are in bold. Let me know what you are listening to on social media and in the comments below.
